My learning style

I've been wondering "what kind of learner" I am for a while now. I always suspected that I'm more of a visual and active learner, and the Felder & Solomon test demonstrated that to me.

In terms of scores:

I scored 3 on the Active side vs Reflective learning
I scored 1 on the Intuitive side vs Sensing learning
I scored 7 on the visual side vs verbal learning
I score 5 on the global side vs sequential learning

I would argue that these are pretty accurate, however, I think my global learning style is a little skewed to the global side. I find that I learn pretty sequentially as well.

On the second test, I scored a 3 for each category. I think this was pretty accurate as well, as I seem to do OK in most learning situations.

I think the quizzes were helpful in identifying what type of learner a person is, and this allows them to adapt to challenging learning situations. I'd be curious to find out what my students are...

  1. I like your reflection. I also found that I agreed for the most part with the results, but also thought that I was less extreme for some categories than others.
